LEHM TON ERDE from Austria have built the house solely made out of natural materials: loam as the mechanic element, clay as the artistic one. It`s completely recyclable, for the loam`s water-soluble, which does not implicate the house will disappear after a first heavy rainshower: Excess length out of burned loam bricks protecting the facade of being washed-out. Loam has got outstanding properties in the regulation of moisture. Instead of waterlogging it swells up while preventing a diffusion of water. Some areas are flagged with hand-made floor tiles made out of clay by Marta Rauch-Debevec.
