More than 50 years of experience with light, movement and public participation made Julio Le Parc to one of the most important geometrical and kinetic artists in the early 60`s. He´s one of the founders of GRAVT (Groupe de Recherche d´Art Visuel), an artistic group concentrating on the topics of movement and light. GRAVT claimed the aim to build a new visual relationship between object and the eye of the viewer, while minimizing the meaning of the artist and his intervention. Dissolved in 1968, the members such as François Morellet, Horacio Garcia Rossi, Francisco Sobrino, Joël Stein und Yvaral and others went their own ways.
