premiere of ‘bock for president’, autumn 2009, vienna. pictures.myself.
Daniel`s post on parisvienne about the film “ Bock for president ” let me remember the fantastic documentation of an extraordinary woman, Ute Bock, who`s encourage, strength and engagement for civil rights is that amazing and adorable. I saw the premiere during the students` protests in Vienna – the premiere`s origin location during Viennale was exchanged for the occupied main auditorium at University of Vienna. Couldn`t imagine a better place to present this work last autumn! Ute Bock`s personality, her total commitment for refugees was touching me as well as the confrontation with people`s everyday fight for a permit of residence in a European country.

In this context I came across the photographs of homeless people by Reinis Hofmanis: people like you and me, but homeless. Their short personal statements added. Some do not have left any words.
His portfolio also shows some artistic models, showing their natural bodies – if you`re interested in the discussion about the representation of human bodies.
