Woonhuis VvG‘ in Vianen by Grosfeld van der Velde Architects (NL) and ‘double house` by Architect Associates Tonoma (Japan) have different concepts. What I´d like to emphasize is, both are statements and are contrasts to the conventional housings they`re surrounded by. An early impression might be the sharp contrast and the style that`s irritating effects are rather conspicuous. But what we finally get are areas where urban space can grow through diversity and is not thrown up like one of the retorte towns you can find nearly everywhere.
