White Zinfandel does not only signify a pink coloured blush wine – from now on, it`s the name of a new magazine, too:
White Zinfandelis devoted to the visual manifestation of food and culture produced within the lives of creative individuals.
The fantastic concept has been created by New York-based W/-project space and the design office Leong Leong Architecture, which are well known for their interdisciplinary approach to spatial practice.
The magazine`s inaugural issue revolves around the restaurant Food, founded by Gordon Matta-Clark, Caroline Goodden and Tina Girouard in 1971 in Soho, New York. The place was completely managed and staffed by artists what made it even more attractive for the art community in downtown Manhatten. With it`s open kitchen Food soon turned into an event space being a meeting point, a performance stage and a restaurant at the same time.
As we know, food and drinks bring the people together – and even better to see that White Zinfandel will:
The launch of each issue will be celebrated with a dinner bringing together the journal’s contributors. A guest chef will conceive of a menu based on the historic restaurant or meal of each issue. The dinner, like the framework of the journal, will focus on creative interpretations and the gathering of people to enjoy a meal together.
