the Urban Cultures of Global Prayers is an exhibition project discussing the influence of religious rituals on the spatial organisation of large, in highly dynamic major cities like Lagos, Rio de Janeiro, Mumbai, Istanbul, Beirut, Jakarta, Kinshasa, and Berlin. Questioning how different religious movements appropriate the cities as a stage and the shifts of meaning they do create, the show might become a must for any kind of urban researcher out there. the Urban Cultures of Global Prayers was on display at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin at the end of 2011.
