What about turning a multi-level car park in to an eight-storey kinetic art project? A kinetic facade will be the result of a collaboration between artist Ned Kahn, the Brisbane Airport Corporation and the international studio Urban Art Projects. 5000 m2 of facade based on 250,000 aluminium panels will be incorporating the power of elements like wind and light. They will effect ventilation and shades for the car park behind as well as plays of light on its walls and floors. The public art facade will be completed in 2011 at Brisbane`s new Domestic Airport Terminal.

White Out, an installation by Amsterdam and LA based studio SpaceOperaForm, was fabricated and exhibited in Hallein Salt Factory, Austria: Various spunbond polypropylene dividers suspended along the aged wood beams of the factory, build sequential passages bewteen 30 and 90 cm. Visitors can walk through, while the dividers constantly keep reacting in form of in- or deflation in relation to the body`s static charge. White Out is

exploring the phenomenological and visual affects of extreme weather conditions.

Columns, 2006, Magnetic tape, plywood, dimensions variable. Installation view,
Spencer Brownstone Gallery, New York. Courtesy of the artist and Spencer Brownstone Gallery, NYC.

Zilvinas Kempinas, Lithuania – born artist, uses film tape as a material for his extensive installations. In “Colums” (2006) he stretches film tape as vertical ribbons from floor to ceiling. Architectural columns seem to be placed all over on first sight. At second sight the columns are revealed as sensitive membrans reacting to the minimalst breath of wind.
Another illusionary installation by Zilvinas Kempinas will be shown at  ‘Future Obscura‘ in the frame of upcomin` Transmediale in Berlin between February 2, 2010 and February 7, 2010. The exhibition hosts various approaches towards the complex condition of futurity through the lens of image-making.

The installation A=p=p=a=r=i=t=i=o=n is based on a collaboration between Throbbing Gristle (British Art Rock Group) and renowned artist Cerith Wyn Evans . It is made of sixteen mirrored audio-spotlights (interactive speakers) playing a multi-channel soundtrack composed by Throbbing Gristle. The sound is determined by the sculpture`s movement, the mirrored flats reflect the audience`s appearance in space. Apparition is the title of a poem by French author Stéphane Mallarmé. His texts treat the interaction between content and form – welcome to a poetic transformation of space.
