The latest issue of dérive magazine deals with the topic of Urban Nightscapes and interested readers can find a thematic collection of information, links and news regarding the topic city and nightlife on the Hamburg-based blog STADTNACHT.
For all of you who`d like to get more impressions on a visual level, Nachtschicht, a potrait featuring night workers, might be the perfect complement: The documentary filmmaker and cameraman Timo Großpietsch has been out and spent the night with a butcher, a post office worker, a taxi driver, a nurse and a deejay at their workspace. The first performance of the film will take place during Filmfest Hamburg, on October 8, 2011 in the congenial arthouse cinema 3001 in Hamburg.


Urban Nightscapes lautet der Titel der aktuellen Ausgabe des Magazins dérive und auch der deutschsprachige Blog STADTNACHT widmet sich ganz dem Themenkomplex ‘Stadt und Nachtleben’. Auf filmischer Ebene hat sich Timo Großpietsch, Dokumentafilmer und Kameramann, in seiner neuseten Produktion mit dem Thema auseinandergesetzt: Die Dokumentation Nachtschicht  begleitet fünf Akteure des Hamburger Nachtlebens bei ihrer Arbeit: Eine Postlerin, einen Schlachter, einen Taxifahrer, einen Krankenpfleger und einen DJ.
Die Filmpremiere findet während des Filmfest Hamburg am 8.Oktober 2011 im sympathischen Programmkino 3001 statt und sei allen vor Ort unbedingt empfohlen.
